I sit beautifully!

I am the first greyhound my foster parents have ever had that sits! Aren't I regal?   My foster mom thinks this is amazing! This week has been so much fun. As I wait for my forever home, I continue to learn so much. I have mastered all types of stairs, continue to love my long walks and have learned to lie down in the car when we do errands. Playing with my squeaky toys has been a new thrill as I have found my foster brothers' toy box!  

I can't wait for the holidays as I hear there are a lot of presents involved with them. Everyone tells me  that I am so sweet. Can't wait to meet you soon!

My Foster family tell me I am a love!

I am having such a good time with my new foster family. They are always telling me how smart I am. In the past week I have learned how to go up the back stairs, when my foster brother and I go to bed I head right for my crate and I am a really good traveller in the car. Life is a lot of fun. My foster grey brother and I each have our own pillows and we love to hang out together. My mom tells me I am a good eater and I work hard to listen well.  I also love to give kisses.  Everyone in my new family tells me how lucky my forever family will be to adopt me! Well, I have a lot to do today so will say good bye for now. I am sure lots of adorable pictures will be added soon. Don't you like my new toy!!!!

Here I am!

Sorry I haven't been able to post in a while as it's been a busy time for me.  I have moved around a few times, but I have settled in to my new foster home.  I like it here because I have my own chair to lay on and lots of comfy beds to stretch out on and new toys to play with.  I am happy to show my new foster parent that I can go lay down when I am supposed to and that I can answer to my new name, Tess.  I think my foster parent has been really impressed with how easy going I am and that I am "low maintenance."

I am so excited to go on walks in my new neighborhood and meet all the other cool dogs.  I like all dogs big and small and I get along great with all of them.

Today I went for a walk on the woods and got some "me time" where I could explore a little of the outdoors on my own.  I was walking with two other small horses, I think - they were huge.  It was lame because we all were wearing the same outfit, but I think I wore it best..

I will keep updating my blog when I can, but I hope that I will be able to move in to my forever home soon so I can tell you all about the great people that adopt me.

Life Changes

The only constant in life is change. Mohican Soltietz or Tess as she is known knows this well. After living happily in a  home for a year, Tess has come back to SEGA to find a new forever home through no fault of her own.

Her family situation changed and her family was not longer able to take care of her the way they felt she deserved.

So now, her new chapter begins...

Since moving in with my foster parents, my name has changed to TESS. I like my new name and answer to it.  I have learned so much in this foster home. like the very first thing that I learned was I could not walk on water, plop right into the pool!!, and I was only here for 30 min!!. I can swim pretty good though.  I have learned how to go up and down steps, how to go outside without bumping into glass doors, playing with toys, getting along with FRIJOLE, my best friend now. He is a greyhound also. we play  together and as with people we have a spats once in a while, but they are small and nobody gets hurt. I do well on a lease, but I'm a slow walker.  I am pretty much house trained although there are occasional accidents.

I do well around kids and infants. Unlike some greys I like to nuzzle and be made a fuss over.  I eat really good and I sometimes share my bowl with FRIJOLE. I don't know how I would do around small dogs because I play a little rough sometimes.

I'm sure I still have more to learn, and I'll keep trying, but I really wish for my forever home.!!
